BR10i This card requires unRAID 5.0b6a, and unRAID doesn't know how to spin it down yet (there is a work around). It is also, at least for the time being, limited to 2T drives and smaller. (If not for this, I'd be recommending this card to everyone). It is an x8 card (will take your x16 slot). If you are considering a second SASLP, you could buy one of these, hook up all of your 2T and smaller drives to it, and use the SASLP to add the larger drives. Also note the card does not come with a bracket to mount it securely. I think you could use the bracket that comes with the cheap Hong Kong controller (one screw only) and be okay. You may also have something in your spare parts drawer to make it mount securely. Link to comment

queeg Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 I was curious why the brackets aren't provided so I looked up the server they come from. It's a 2U and the card lays flat and doesn't need the bracket. The card in the picture isn't a BR10i by the way. Link to comment
