Losing Shares

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have been coming across this problem now for the past 2 weeks - no changes have been done to my unraid. But i have been losing my shares. Rebooting Unraid resolves the issue but this is a major issue as it also breaks docker.

I have checked the diagnostic logs before and after and i spotted the following - Looks at the last line

When i lost my Shares -

# Generated settings:
shareComment=""
shareInclude=""
shareExclude=""
shareUseCache="only"
shareCachePool="slow_cache"
shareCOW="auto"
shareAllocator="highwater"
shareSplitLevel=""
shareFloor="0"
shareExport="e"
shareFruit="no"
shareCaseSensitive="auto"
shareSecurity="public"
shareReadList=""
shareWriteList=""
shareVolsizelimit=""
shareExportNFS="-"
shareExportNFSFsid="0"
shareSecurityNFS="public"
shareHostListNFS=""
# Share exists on no drives

After the reboot which resolve losing the shares.

Any help would be amazing

That suggests that the disk dropped offline or was unmountable.   I would suggest you run a file system check on the drive in case file system corruption is the cause.

It's this issue:

See that thread for some possible workarounds.

Since user shares aren't working, diagnostics finds no files for any user share on any drive. That line in diagnostics is just another (predictable) symptom of your problem.
