October 29, 20214 yr Ok back story. my current desktop is a ryzen 5 3600 on a x570 board with a rx580. I would like to upgrade my CPU to a ryzen 7 5800x and GPU to a 6800xt and use the R5 3600 in my current server. My current unraid server is an intel based unit with a gigabyte mx-bs0 motherboard 32Gb ecc ram and an intel Xeon e3-1230v5. I am looking to add an nvidia 1050ti for Plex and reuse my rx580 for pass through. I know I will lose ipmi but I don’t really use it anyway so no biggie. I guess what I really need to know is a good solid motherboard to use with unraid and allow me to use the parts above. I plan to reuse the memory if possible and my lsi card. I may also need to upgrade my PSU as I believe at the moment it’s 550w. Any suggestions based on this information would be great.
