October 31, 20214 yr Hello I have installed a new Unraid server and copied all my 30TB of data over - it acts as backup server. On the server itself all is good. So I can see the files (File Browser). But when I am accessing the data via SMB share (windows 10 client) then I only can see the top-most folder. Its shown as size 0 and I cannot navigate into it. I checked that all the permissions on the Unraid are right (all owned by nobody / users) and my user account to access the data from windows 10 has read/write permissions for the share set. Can anybody help me with this? Never had this kind of trouble with SMB before (SMBv1 enabled on client). Thanks
October 31, 20214 yr Author Found the answer, permissions where still wrong after using of "Safe New Permissions". I changed all directories to 755 and files to 666 by terminal and now it works as expected. Don't task me what happend... but now it works. PS: Will attach diagnostics in the future Edited October 31, 20214 yr by Sesshoumaru
