November 4, 20214 yr Parity-check started inconsistently finding errors last year. I began replacing drives since I needed more space anyway, but so far that hasn't helped. I ran memtest for several hours and didn't find any memory issues. I'm about to upgrade my parity drives to a pair of 16tb exos and really want to get to the bottom of this before hand. Your support is greatly appreciated! unraidt1-diagnostics-20211103-1851.zip Edited November 20, 20214 yr by 3mu|0r Problem has resolved itself
November 4, 20214 yr Community Expert Nothing obvious. Without any reboots: Run a correcting parity check to correct the sync errors. Then run a non-correcting parity check, which should find no sync errors. If there are still sync errors after the non-correcting parity check, post new diagnostics.
November 9, 20214 yr Author I've finally completed running the parity checks as suggested. The second non-correcting parity check didn't find any errors. What can we infer from these results?
November 20, 20214 yr Author After making it though a couple of checks with zero errors found I moved forward with upgrading my parity drives. Since then I have also upgraded my MB+CPU and moved the system to a new Rosewill case (link below if you're curious). I have now performed 6 parity checks with zero errors found. That's the longest stretch since the issue began occurring. I've decided to close out this issue since there doesn't appear to be anything to troubleshoot at this point. https://www.rosewill.com/product/rsv-l4412u-4u-rackmount-with-12-bays-5-fans-hot-swap-support/ My thanks to everyone who took a look at this.
