Slow parity nvme only

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've got a questin, I have placed an nvme ssd as array and a nvme as parity but as you see in the screenshot its extremely slow on building parity. Anyone has an idea how to fix it?

You should provide your system’s diagnostics so we can give sensible feedback.

my guess is one of the drives is having problems but without diagnostics that is just a guess.

both drives are new, the one in the array i've used for about a week and performs great. the second one (parity) i received today i have to admit im using an pci riser for the ssd but i've tested that beforehand and i've got a speed of about ±700MB/s and with parity build it doesn't go above 40-50...

yes i've read that. i'm thinking about switching to btrfs because of the discard=async mount option. This should fix it if i've read it correctly?
