so I had my unraid server running for about a year and finally upgraded it.

 

new case, new cpu, new ram, and added more drives.

 

I a, able to boot up and get everything running, but after sometime unraid gets disconnected. Can’t access my dockers or locally accessing my unraid machine.

 

I check my router and I still see the machine is connected, but can’t access.

 

eventually end up having to hard reset my machine.

 

I added my diagnostics and hopefully someone can tell me what’s wrong.

 

it also usually happens when I am doing something. Like copying a file from my share or starting a docker container.

Can't open the diags, you should also enable syslog server and post that after a crash, together with new diags.

sorry for some reason when i tried to download my diagnostic it had an issue on my ipad.  i tried from my desktop and attached them there.

i attached my system logs as well

dont know if it will help but this is the mobo i got.

it has a 2.5gb lan port, but ive been reading that maybe i should downgrade to a 1GB card?

syslog is in RAM like the rest of the OS and so doesn't survive reboot.  syslog since the last reboot is already included in the diagnostics. Only syslogs saved by syslog server have anything from before reboot. 

got it sorry.  i attached my syslogs here as well as another diagnostic file since it disconnected again.

Those diagnostics seem to be from before reboot and the syslog from after reboot. Are you sure that is the syslog from syslog server? Normally that would include entries from before and after reboot.

Ah. I got the diag files after my server crashed and I booted back up. 
 

I setup the syslog to from the instructions but I restarted my system in a clean restart and when my system booted back up I got the syslog. 

 

 

I will try pulling the logs and diag again once my system crashes again

I had my system crash again, and was able to pull the logs for my diagnostic and for my syslog.

Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged before the crash, this usually points to a hardware issue.

Hmm dang I got new ram, cpu, and motherboard. I think it might be my onboard lan. It’s. 2.5ghz port but for some reason I lose remote connection to my system. But my computer is still on.
