April 8, 201115 yr Hi, I followed the HOWTO here --> http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=4173.0 And now I can't cmd-k to my unRAID box from my Mac, it still asks for user so I put "root" with no password and it then says I don't have permission to see the shares! (I know my unRAID is ok, because from my other computer [linux ubuntu] I am able to connect to unRAID box no problems...) I am running latest unRAID 4.7 with 2 hard drives + 1 parity drive, no errors! Please let me know if you need any further info from me! Thanks in advance!!
April 8, 201115 yr Why didn't you just install 5 beta5? I'm using this without issue. Either way, un-do the steps. I'm presuming you didn't need to change anything other than an install on the go script?
April 8, 201115 yr Author I didn't use 5beta5 because I wanted to use the most recent "stable" version! I thought that was "safer" since I was just starting out with unRAID and testing it out... Anyway, this might sound noob-like, but how do you "undo" the steps? is there a reverse of installpkg? I have no problem removing the lines from the go script via "vi", but what about uninstalling the packages? Thanks!!
April 8, 201115 yr The author of that HOW-TO no longer recommends it. The latest Beta is considered stable and recommended if you require AFP. 4.7 is safer as long as you don't make complicated modifications. I currently use Disk Utility to auto-mount NFS shares, but I'm planning to try the latest beta soon. I suggest you reformat the USB stick and start over.
