Parity Errors are Found, But Not Corrected - What to Do?

Featured Replies

Hello!

My monthly parity scan ran a little while ago and found errors. I have it set to NOT automatically correct them. If anyone can advise me what should I do now, I would be very grateful! Here is my log.

Thank you for your help in advance

Run a correcting check, a few sync errors after an unclean shutdown are normal.

Thank you for the quick reply!!!

I will do that shortly. I am wondering, and pardon my ignorance, how will the repair pick the right data? Of course, I don't want my good data over-written.

Sync errors will be correct on parity disk only, nothing is written to any data disk (well except sometimes if there's a read error on a data disk, but you still need to run a correcting check now)

Parity errors were corrected. Running another parity check now.
