Server completely locking up needing reboot

I migrated the hardware for my unraid server and since then I have been getting issues with the server completely locking up at seemingly random occasions. The whole OS locks up and the only way of getting it responsive again is to perform a hard reboot.

Sometimes it is up for a couple of days, other times it is up for a few hours. I can not figure out what is going on and I'm at the end of my tether.

I tried upgrading to 6.10-rc2 due to better support for 11th gen intel CPU. I would have gone for 10th gen but I needed 11th for the extra PCIe lanes on the motherboards.

I've started mirroring my logs to the boot drive to see if anything appears in there. I have also tried switching from macvlan to ipvlan on the docker network and that hasn't helped.

I did have a little success disabling the igpu. And I am going to downgrade back to 6.9.2 and disable the igpu to see if that helps at all.

Troubleshooting is difficult as there doesn't seem to be a reproducible trigger that is causing the lockups.

Diagnostics for 6.10rc2 are attached.

Not yet, it's next on my list of things to do.

Can I do the memtest on a separate computer or should it ideally be done on the same machine? My home assistant container runs on unraid and taking that down for a couple of days will be a real chore. But if I can run the memtest on a separate PC, I can test a couple of sticks at a time.

A memtest that passes or fails on another computer doesn't necessarily tell whether the memory is working well on your server.

Ok I’ll do it on my current hardware.

on a side note, downgrading back to 6.9.2 and not loading the igpu drivers and the system has been stable for nearly a week. So it seems to definitely be related to the igpu.

Interesting. I had issues with 6.9.2 freezing every couple of days and was told it was a hardware issue too due to nothing in the syslog. I am using an i3-9100 with the iGPU for plex transcoding. 6.8.3 I get 0 issues with months of uptime and had to revert back. So it appears even 6.10 won't be fixing the intel iGPU hangs...

I get hang ups requiring a forced power down every week or two. 8600 on 6.9.2. Was hoping 6.10.0 would fix it, but waiting until a stable release comes.

I suppose I could try and disable the iGPU, but that would mess with Jellyfin transcoding, which isn't ideal.
