Removing disk from Array, adding a new one and more

Hello, I have installed the 500GB NVMe but the issue with the x On the disk 7 its still there/here. 
 

Any suggestions on how to fix it are welcome always. 
I have changed my cables and remove most of the splitters and now i mainly using the psu cables. 
i have checked and I can see the disk in BIOS. so i am a bit stuck there! Thanks in advance!

Of course the only way to get rid of that is to rebuild the disk.

There is no way to rebuild a disk without the array started. Sounds like you don't know how to rebuild a disk.

Yes, I was trying to find a way actually.. cause right now and for 2 weeks this disk is working as emulated..

You only have single parity so you have been running unprotected all that time.

 

Those diagnostics were taken with the array stopped, so can't see if anything mounted. In particular, we need to know if the emulated disk mounts.

OK, that looks good. Some things about your docker setup still needs work but we can deal with that later.

 

I took the time to reread all of this thread. Since this was a connection problem, and the SMART attributes for the disk look OK (though there hasn't been an extended test run in a long time), it should be OK to rebuild to the same disk.

But, it is always safer to rebuild to a spare if you have one and so keep the original disk as is in case there is any problem with rebuilding.

Ι have some 4TB spares yes. I need to move some files from one of those but it's not big deal. 

Let me know what you want me to do. Also I have the 500GB new NVMe on, I've tried to add it to Sys pool but something doesnt go well on this.

Was on unraid before, I've replaced those with the new 8tb ones.

Replace the one I have on unraid with this one and rebuild parity or disk somehow?

plug in the spare disk you want to use and post new diagnostics or at least a SMART report for that disk

That disk might be OK, but it is a WD RED with nonzero for SMART attribute 1. You should add attributes 1 and 200 to be monitored on WD disks.

 

And it hasn't had an extended test run on it recently.

Or we can take a look at another disk since you seemed to imply you had more than one spare.

I am running an extended SMART test on that disk. Almost all my disks was WD RED in the unraid. 
its just the one on external enclosures I am buying lately are white labeled anyway. 
and from what I read all those disks are same with the red ones and the only thing is missing is the red label. 
Should I changed the attribute like you said to all those?

I am at Tools > Preclear Disk and this is all I get.. it's like the test isnt running?
