Question about share permissions

Hey all, question about SMB share permissions. So I have a private share which I log into from my mac. I can see everything in there and the permissions are rwx------ on everything. Even though I logged in I still cannot delete anything. When I changed it to public I can delete and do anything I want.

What am I missing here?

    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
