Question about vfio: missing device

in this post:

 

the user has in his vfio config devices 06:00.0 and 06:00.1

This multifunction device is not listed in lspci: most probably he changed the slot of the gpu, or he added some other devices or he did a bios upgrade.

I was wondering if he can delete that devices through the gui or if the only method (as I suggested) is to manually edit the config file and change the addresses.
