It would be helpful when the array is first started after applying a new config that a prompt to download a new local flash drive backup would pop up, along with a warning to mark or delete all older backups as at best invalid and at worst a danger to a data disk.

 

Is the automatic online flash backup already set up to deal with removing old super.dat files so the accidental restoration of a super.dat containing an old parity drive presently used in a data slot won't overwrite it? @Squid?

 

 

super.dat is included in the MyServers backup, so it should always be up to date.
