Disk 10 in my array is disabled.

I followed the instructions in 1.6.1 Unmountable Disk(s).

  1. stopped the array
  2. restarted in maintenance mode
  3. Checked Filesystem status ... completed without error
Phase 1 - find and verify superblock...
Phase 2 - using internal log
        - zero log...
        - scan filesystem freespace and inode maps...
        - found root inode chunk
Phase 3 - for each AG...
        - scan and clear agi unlinked lists...
        - process known inodes and perform inode discovery...
        - agno = 0
        - agno = 1
        - agno = 2
        - agno = 3
        - process newly discovered inodes...
Phase 4 - check for duplicate blocks...
        - setting up duplicate extent list...
        - check for inodes claiming duplicate blocks...
        - agno = 1
        - agno = 0
        - agno = 3
        - agno = 2
Phase 5 - rebuild AG headers and trees...
        - reset superblock...
Phase 6 - check inode connectivity...
        - resetting contents of realtime bitmap and summary inodes
        - traversing filesystem ...
        - traversal finished ...
        - moving disconnected inodes to lost+found ...
Phase 7 - verify and correct link counts...
done
  1. Note: red X still beside drive on Main Menu
  2. Stopped array.
  3. Restarted array (in normal mode. i.e., not maintenance mode)
  4. Drive still marked with red x, "device is disabled, contents emulated"

Is the content of the emulated drive OK ?

When I browse the mount...

Index of /mnt/disk10
0 objects: 0 directories, 0 files (0 B total)

I checked my Lost+Found share...

There is now 8984 files totalling 886mb of files in the lost+found

  • the lost+fold has folders with names like "1261308477"
  • inside 1261308477 is correctly labeled media

Might this mean that the Filesystem Rebuild moved files to lost+found?

Does this mean that the content of the emulated drive is empty?

Is there a way to get contents from lost+found back to shares without manually sorting 8984 files?

Recommended next steps?
