December 2, 20214 yr I'm looking at using a remote NFS mount for my docker containers and virtual machines as well as my sabnzbd downloads. I have a qnap that I can use for this with 10Gbe networking. It has more storage with a tier'd drive system than I can setup at a reasonable cost with dedicated SSD's. has anyone else done this? I have two unraid servers that I plan to use to fail between as well as a third for quorum. the qnap has 10TB to use for storage, whereas I only have a 1.6TB nvme drive that I have to give back to work. This seems like the best way to facilitate all of this. Here is a quick diagram of what this is going to look like.
