Upgrading multiple drives at once

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I picked up some new drives this weekend and was wondering if there's a way to replace multiple drives at once (I am out of SATA/power ports so can't keep the old ones in aswell as the new ones)

My current setup is at follows:

Parity - 8TB

Disk 1 - 2TB

Disk 2 - 2TB

Disk 3 - 2TB

Disk 4 - 2TB

Disk 5 - 2TB

Disk 6 - 2TB

Disk 7 - 2TB

Disk 1 & 2 are the only drives that have data on them (totalling 1700GB), the rest of the drives all have 14GB of data on them (unsure what that is) and I am looking to replace Disk 1 - 8TB Disk 2 - 4TB Disk 3 - 4TB and Disk 4 - 4TB

What would be my best method to replace my drives?

Since you only have single parity you can only replace one disk at a time. Replace one disk, rebuild, repeat as needed.
