DESCRIPTION

MailDev is a simple way to test your project's generated emails during development with an easy to use web interface that runs on your machine built on top of Node.js.

If you are going to report a bug or request something to be added/modified, please, take into consideration that I will only be able to apply changes for the work I own only. For example, if I create a docker template for an already existing docker image (not created by me), I won't be able to do more for that image than forward your report or request to the owner of the project.

There seems to be a bug in the implementation, that effects how environment variables from the docker are read.

To be specific, it seems to affect MAILDEV_OUTGOING_SECURE and MAILDEV_AUTO_RELAY, as these are supposed to be set without value. Both of which are only relevant when one tries to use Maildev as an auto-forwarder -- this is broken currently.

There are fix suggestions on the Github, but maintenance seems to be slow.

 

I fixed it for myself by forking the repo and applying this fix myself: https://github.com/maildev/maildev/issues/315#issuecomment-896906760
