December 3, 20214 yr Hi Guys, I recently purchased a TOSHIBA MG07ACA14TE 14TB HDD to replace my parity drive and first thing I have done after installing it was do a Preclear then another and both were successful. During preclear a ticking sound is present Also did a smart extended self-test that didn't find any problems. Report is attached TOSHIBA_MG07ACA14TE_71U0A2LLF94G-20211203-2211.txt I believe this is a stupid question but is this sound normal for a helium HDD ? This is my fist helium HDD as the biggest capacity that i had until now were 6TB WD Red and I'm unsure if this is a "feature" or i should send it back. Edited December 3, 20214 yr by elyenm
