Encyption - problems with conversion from passphrase to keyfile

Featured Replies

Hello all,
I have a problem with the automatic encryption of my array. I have encrypted all my discs from the array.
I have set up a FTPs server on my Synology Diskstation where the keyfile is hosted. During the boot process this keyfile is downloaded and stored in /root/keyfile and is used by Unraid. However, it is said here that it is a wrong key. I have created the keyfile as it is in the videos of Spaceinvader One. However, the version of Unraid seems to be different from the one in the video to the current one (6.4 - 6.9.2).

The keyfile contains the passphrase in plain text. If I delete the keyfile again I can enter the passphrase manually which is also in the keyfile and the array is decrypted and started.

In which format must the keyfile be created?

Many greetings
Thorsten
