[SOLVED] Not getting HD attributes for two new WD drives

Featured Replies

I added a 4tb Purple and 16tb White Shucked from an Easy Store and both aren’t displaying HD temps nor SMART attributes. I’m not sure why and seeing if anyone has any ideas. I’m running 6.9.2 and using a DS4246. I’m using SATA to SAS interposers on all drives. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

Anything different with the interposers in these two disks? They are being shown as SAS:

Transport protocol: SAS (SPL-3)

That's why no SATA SMART data, try swapping with one of the other ones.

Thanks again @JorgeB turns out I wasn’t using SATA to SAS interposers on those other disks. It has been a year or so since I’ve added another drive. I had a box full of them and just assumed I needed to use them and had used them on the other drives. All good now after removing, temps show up.
