I current have my R7525 server running Unraid.  It's a beefy machine with 2x EPYC 16 core processors.  My gaming rig is about 10 years old and I'm starting to hit some limitations with it.  I'm looking for the best solution to use my Unraid server as my gaming rig with a new graphics card and a VM.  The current distance between my server and desk is about 60 feet.  With cable routing about 75 feet.

 

Could I have a VM running, using the New video card, output to a thunderbolt card (that I'll have to add) along with the keyboard, mouse, and speakers?   Have that cable run to a thunderbolt dock that would be on my desk.  

 

Is there a better solution that provides a better latency?
