Cannot see HDDs after update from 6.5.3 to 6.9.2

Featured Replies

I have been running 6.5.3 without any problems for some time. Tried to update to 6.9.2 to use new plugins and dockers that are not compatible with 6.5.3.  However, after 6.9.2 boots following update, it cannot see any of my HDD in the GUI and I cannot start the array. Any help is appreciated. Diagnostics zip is attached.

Can you see the drives in the BIOS?

Have you tried booting in SAFE mode?

01:00.0 SATA controller [0106]: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88SE9230 PCIe 2.0 x2 4-port SATA 6 Gb/s RAID Controller [1b4b:9230] (rev 11)
Subsystem: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88SE9230 PCIe SATA 6Gb/s Controller [1b4b:9230]
	Kernel driver in use: ahci
	Kernel modules: ahci

Marvell controllers are NOT recommended but some are able to use them by disabling IOMMU in BIOS.

Are any of the disks on your other controller?

Thank you for your insight. I need to pass through a USB Soft modem to a VM so I think I need IOMMU enabled, correct? I will also have to check other SATA controller on system. In the meantime I had to restore back to 6.5.3 to get everything running again. Thanks again

Problem is the Marvell controller, this sometimes help, or better yet replace it with one of the recommended models.
