Is there a way to store one specific file on cache at all times?

Featured Replies

I'm setting up my Roon server.  It's a music service that handles all your music catalogs for you.  It creates a catalog reference file for all the music on your system and the app's speed is greatly increased if it can read that off your SSD vs HDD. What's the best way to go about this? Should I create one file, give it permission to sit on cache, then have it save that file to that directory?

Don't know what you mean by this.

Unclear why you don't think the usual way of creating a cache-only user share would work for you.

Of course, it's also possible to store a file at the top level of cache. Any file at the top level of any disk isn't included in user shares. And mover only works on user shares.
