Itunes won't open with DB on Unraid share (very very slow before)

I have no idea why these perms look different. One thing to note is the Itunes\ Library directory is highlighted green when looking at it through ubuntu.

Hrmm...that is a tough one. Steep learning curve to deal with.

I broke apart the permissions here to illustrate why you're seeing the line in green under linux. Files have permission attributes for the owner of the file, the group the file belongs to and everybody else. The reason the line is green under linux is because it's telling you that the folder has full permissions for everybody. Whereas the other files are full access to the owner and group but everybody else has no access.

 

As for why it's different, I couldn't tell you. Maybe it was full access when on your mac and the permissions followed when you moved the library.
