December 19, 20214 yr Hi All, I'm trying to build a Windows 10 VM using a GTX1050TI, Fresco Logic FL1100 USB 3.0 Host Controller, and a Sandisk Corp WD Black NVMe drive. I'm able to get the latter two working, but I am hitting an issue when adding the GTX1050TI. I am running an Intel i9-9900 with a Gigabyte B365 HD3 motherboard. As I mentioned, I am able to get pass-through of my NVMe drive and USB controller card. When I enable the GTX1050TI the VM locks. December 20, 20214 yr Attach your diagnostics file. It's the nvme, I read that sometimes nvme+gpu don't play well in some builds. You can also try to passthrough the gpu (multifunction device) and not passthrough the nvme controller, but nvme disk attached to a virtual sata controller, something like this: <disk type='block' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source dev='/dev/disk/by-id/DISKID'/> <target dev='hdd' bus='sata'/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='3'/> </disk> Replace DISKID with yours, navigate to /dev/disk/by-id/ , print the content of that directory and find your id.
December 27, 20214 yr Author Thanks. I switched from using an NVMe to an SSD using the by-id method and that was able to boot the VM. The 1050ti isn't seen by Windows though. Device manager doesn't even show a display device (or sound). I've tried multiple vbios as well as without and the 1050ti isn't seen.
