Closest thing to an image backup, restore server as is/was

Featured Replies

Hello,

coming from windows having my plex, radarr, sonarr etc running on windows i would just make images (incremental) of the system so in case of disaster i could restore the machine as it was (excluding the media itself)

How can i achieve this with UNRAID? If there was a disaster how could i restore my server to how it was quickly?

Right now i am backing up the flash drive with "My Servers" plugin. I also see Appdata Backup/Restore v2 come up a lot. So is this the plugin i should use to backup all my configs, shares, settings, paths as well as my docker images and settings? I hope i am making sense but i think you probably understand what i am trying to achieve, just looking to find out how to do it.

The Appdata Backup/Restore is about backing up all the variable part of the data for docker containers.  The Settings for docker containers are stored on the flash drive and  docker containers with their previous settings can be restored using Apps->Previous apps.

So since my flash is backed up to Unraid using "my servers" the Appdata Backup/Restore should be all i need?

Of coarse if i want to backup my media that's different, thinking about dulicacy for that.
