Asus Motherboards - Loop back to BIOS

Featured Replies

Spent a long time today pulling my hair out on this one.  I found a post abbzer0 that solve the issue.

If the USB stick has a EFI- folder on it, the dash needs to be removed to fix the boot issue.  spent 2 hours trying different usb sticks, pulling all the compoenents reseating etc.  no errors on post, just boots to BIOS everytime.

Only if you boot with UEFI activated in BIOS. The dash is required for CSM / Legacy mode.

You can change that in the the USB creator in the advanced options (Customize).

Just to add that it's not required, CSM/legacy boot works with or without the dash in EFI.
