Upgrading from 4.7, no key file URL (Solved)

Featured Replies

My unraid 4.7 box was sitting in my closet for several years before I pulled it out and installed 6.9.2 on the flash drive. I saved the key file in /boot/config, but the dashboard says I'm unregistered. It recognizes the flash drive as already having been registered, so it seems I need a new URL from Lime, unless I've overlooked something? My email to support suggested to post here while I wait up to 3 days for a response, so if anyone else happened to need to register a new install without a key file, I'd be grateful for a hint.

The .key file should still be valid.    Make sure it is installed into the ‘config’ folder on the flash drive.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I have it there. I've tried the file from my flash drive backup as well as downloading from the registration email. I did receive this dialog when copying the file through explorer, should I be using a different method?

File should be Pro.key, not ._Pro.key

I had been copying a file named Pro.key without the leading characters but I just got it to work using the original key from the email again, making sure the file size was 1kb and not 4kb this time. I'm back up and running now, thanks!
