Data Rebuild Issues

Featured Replies

So, the last few weeks I've been having trouble with 1 drive specifically, often showing up as unmounted, requiring me to xfs repair to allow it to be mountable again, earlier this week it decided it was its end, and this solution no longer fixed my issue.

I ordered a new drive, pre cleared it, and put it in today to begin a rebuild of the drive, i ran a comparison from my backup server to the main server, and was missing about 400gb worth of data, is this normal after a parity sync? or will this be related to previous xfs repairs...?

I'm looking to resolve this so i don't have to go through this again, but as it is around 1 week down the line, am unable to provide many diagnostics for it as I didn't take them at the time, so understand help is limited!...

As a countereffect. Some dockers are un-launchable. I assume this will be down to lost files causing them to not run, what is the best cause of action in this case for those apps?

Thanks.vault-diagnostics-20220101-2343.zip

Most likely, severe corruption can result in some missing data, or moved to a lost+found folder.

Good idea to run memtest, bad RAM is a common reason for fs corruption.
