Use eMMC storage as part of the array or pool from miniPC

Featured Replies

Hello unRAIDERS,

I'm facing some little problems while trying to use a miniPC that I wanted it to be used as an unRAID test system, mainly for Docker tests, so I can leave my main server as clean as possible. I saw an old post from here asking for almost the same thing, except that I won't use the microSD slot (disabled from BIOS).

The miniPC I have is the following:

- BMAX B1 Plus

- Storage: x1 eMMC (64GB) + microSD slot + SATA port available (M2)

Well, what I'm trying to accomplish is to use the integrated eMMC storage as part of the array, so I can use it as a standard disk. But, when I boot up unRAID, the eMMC is not detected.

I have configured the USB and the BIOS as UEFI compatible, if it helps in something. And the unRAID boot drive (licence) is and will be installed in a USB drive.

Thank you.

Your issue is the MMC module is not present.

# CONFIG_MMC is not set
# CONFIG_PHY_INTEL_LGM_EMMC is n

Options are custom kernel

Limetech to include module but you would have to load in go file.

Someone to create a version of the module that can be included in a plugin.

Thank you for answering. Maybe someone could accomplish it in the future. Meanwhile, I will opt to use an SSD (m.2).
