MadSwordfish Posted January 7, 2022 Share Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) Hi, a few times now i have had an issue, where i can't access the server ui or mapped drives. something has crashed honestly i'm not sure. my motherboard has ipmi so i logged into that and took a screenshot. i have also provided a screenshot of the main hardware in the machine in case that is helpful. my understanding is that if i do a reboot then the diagnostic logs are cleared. since i can't access the system i had to reboot. the attached logs are from after reboot. is there a way to auto download the diagnostics so i can just take them every few minutes in the hope of catching in them what is causing the problem? this has happened quite a few times and i have never been able to find a solution so i had no choice but to come and ask the community. thanks for the help. unapollo-diagnostics-20220107-1721.zip Edited January 12, 2022 by MadSwordfish 6.9.2 - Quote Link to comment

MadSwordfish Posted January 9, 2022 Author Share Posted January 9, 2022 Hi I am posting my syslog as suggested. i logged in at 17:13 (line 3326) to check on an extended smart test for one of my drives because of another issue i had yesterday with a couple of my drives. this drive problem is not something i have had a problem with before for these drives so i don't believe they are the cause of this issue. the crash occurred after this login. i noticed the crash at 17:30. which is when i logged into the ipmi to do the reset. syslog-192.168.0.9.log Quote Link to comment
JorgeB Posted January 10, 2022 Share Posted January 10, 2022 Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged, this usually suggests a hardware issue, one thing you can try it to boot the server in safe mode with all docker/VMs disable, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
