VM Graphics Performance Really bad after update to 6.9.2

Featured Replies

So I just updated from 6.8.3 -> 6.9.2 (I know...) and all of the sudden my wife's and I's gaming VMs have TERRIBLE jumping when we try to play video games or even just moving stuff around on the screen. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Setup:

seventh gen i9 (we each get 10 dedicated cores)

plenty of ram

she has a 970ti passed through, I have a 1080

both vdisks run off the cache which is a nice and fast NVMe drive, nothing else should be accessing it other than our shared game bins

It was working fine before I updated.

Okay so I rolled back the system BIOS (since I also did that), no change. So then I rolled back to 9.8.3, and bingo, back to working. Now I think I'm going to go back up to 6.9.2 and try updating the virtio drivers from 0.1.185 to 0.1.208 and see if that fixes things because I really want some of the features in 6.9.

Tried with 6.9.2 and virtio drivers 0.1.208 and still bad... So back to 6.8.3 I go, and there I'll stay until 6.10 (hopefully I can go to that).
