Unraid won't start after installing new HDDs

Featured Replies

Hi, I just installed 2 new HDDs to my t30 Unraid server. I added a PCI card (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M942LN9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and power cable splitter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0086OGN9E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

When I turned it on it didn't show up so I plugged in a monitor and it says "no operating system is currently installed on this system". I'm assuming it's not reading the flash drive/Unraid for booting up? How do I fix this? Since it didn't even start Unraid I'm assuming it's safe to just turn it on/off to reboot it. Thanks!

You should have a look in the BIOS/UEFI if the bootstick is still recognized and if it's still set as the primary boot media.

IF after doing what @Turnspit suggested does not work, try pulling that new card to see if that makes a difference.

EDIT: Reads the one star reviews on this card...

Thanks. Didn't read the one star reviews until now...will get another one and hope it didn't mess everything up.
