wildpygmy
I'm looking to upgrade my Unraid server hardware to a newer Intel based CPU to be able to take advantage of quicksync and hardware acceleration in Plex (among other reasons). I've seen conflicting information about whether or not Unraid and/or Plex fully supports the newest Intel iGPUs (the 730 or 750) found in 11th and 12th series chips (I was considering a i5-11400 or i3-12100). A possible alternative would be to go with a i5-10400 with the 630 iGPU, but I'd prefer to go with newer hardware if possible especially since the prices are barely any different. Before I purchase anything, can anyone refer me to an up-to-date guide on how to get these newer iGPUs working correctly (if possible), particularly in Plex w/ hardware acceleration & HDR tone mapping. If anyone has any first hand experience about whether this does or doesn't work properly, I'd love to hear it. For reference I'm running Unraid 6.9.2 but would consider upgrading to 6.10 rc2 if would potentially improve the situation somehow. Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment

ChatNoir
From my understanding it works. As hinted by @rachid596, it seems that HDR tone mapping might be an issue, but maybe not on Unraid side, most probably from Plex. 1 Quote Link to comment
