[SOLVED]Registration key vs premade from lime

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there any incentive to buy the preinstall key from Lime versus getting a registration key and buy your own USB drive ?

I email Lime Tech but did not get an answer.

Thanks

I don't think so. The preconfigured drives are just more convenient.

I think that depends ....

Getting a pre-built usb stick shipped to Philippines would be a lot more hassle than buying a stick here and having my registration key emailed to me!

I was thinking along the line like this:

I you buy it from me, I'll warranty it for 2 years and if the drive fails send it back and I'll send a free replacement (or for a small fee).

if you buy the drive on your own and get a registration key then when it fail 6 months /1 year later then you're S.O.L

I ask Lime Tech the same question because the price different is not much just about $11 buck but the warranty is a big deal.

Again so far no answer.

There is no written rule but LimeTech has always been good about replacing licenses when a flash drive has failed/been destroyed/etc.

Quite a few members have had kids get a hold of the drive, had a dog eat it, had it fail for any reason and LimeTech has sent a new license key for the new flash drive.

It is primarily just a matter of convenience.
