April 22, 201115 yr I need help in re-installing Unraid without losing any data. I've done a search and can't find anything specific. I'm currently running 4.7 Plus and would like to install the 5.0 beta from scratch (and keep my data intact) Cheers.

I'm currently running 4.7 Plus and would like to install the 5.0 beta from scratch (and keep my data intact) Cheers. Take a screen shot so you know where you assigned the various drives. Install 5.0beta6a. Assign the drives as they were on its main page. If any drive shows as "MBR unknown" stop and run the two commands listed in the announcement thread to dump the current contents of the MBR for analysis. Do NOT start the array if you see MBR unknown. You won't actually lose data but it might make it impossible to get to. DO NOT format any drive. (Don't press the format button if present) If all drives show MBR un-aligned, or MBR 4k-aligned, Press Start. Let unRAID compute an initial calc of parity. Joe L.
