cedev
Hi everyone, I am looking at compiling a package for unraid and I would like to do that in a VM. I thought I should use Slackware64 14.2 for the compilation as that is the bistro from which unraid 6.9.3 is based. I tried to download a few ISOs of SW64 14.2 from various sources but I can't get any to work. Using the official install DVD, I am blocked at the "welcome to grub" screen and nothing more happens. Would anyone have a copy of a working install medium for Slackware64 14.2 please? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Solution cedev Posted January 17, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) With the help of Alien BOB from https://slackware.nl/, I go to this solution: Download an ISO with your preferred desktop from https://slackware.nl/slackware-live/latest/ Login to live environment (user and password are: root) Proceed with setting up normally (install command: setup2hd) Select Install from ftp/http server Set the first path to https://slackware.nl/slackware/slackware64-14.2/ for the 14.2 release Set the package path to slackware64 Proceed with the installation normally Edited January 9, 2023 by cedev Added specifics for liveslack disks 1 Quote Link to comment
