unRAID stops responding via GUI and pings

Featured Replies

Twice in the past week I have had my server become unresponsive and require a hard restart. The last time was on 1/15 and just before 10pm local time. I had just finished watching a movie on Plex and went to look at server GUI and it was unresponsive. Plex was no longer responsive either and server did not respond to pings. Unfortunately I don't have a monitor and keyboard handy to hook up to the server.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance..

I have been dealing with similar issues for months, it will just randomly lock up and require a hard reset. Sometimes multiple times in a single day, others it will go weeks between.

I can not seem to narrow down the issue but it happens more when it is actively doing something.

It never saves diagnostics or logs which makes it a real pain as well.

Only started happening after updating to 6.9.2, although it was not right away after updating.

Will do.

Thanks for the advice.

Looks like it stopped responding to me this evening. I attached some logs. Hope this helps.

Macvlan call traces are usually the result of having dockers with a custom IP address, upgrading to v6.10 and switching to ipvlan might fix it (Settings -> Docker Settings -> Docker custom network type -> ipvlan (advanced view must be enable, top right)), or see below for more info.

Thanks. I have my plex server on a custom IP. I'll give that a look.

Thanks

My unRAID server is on a 10.5.254.80/24 and my plex server is 10.5.254.83/24. Everything else is on a customer "proxynet" network on the unRAID server. Not sure if thius is an issue or not.

Still looks related to the same issue as posted above.

I don't have any custom IP addresses on any dockers.  I changed te one I had and rebooted afterwards so not sure what the darn thing is looking at?

You can still try this.

I'll try that when I get home in a few days. Thanks for the feedback.
