What IP/Domain should I whitelist on my firewall to ensure docker updates work?

Featured Replies

I recently configured a firewall and added a bunch of blocklists. Unfortunately one of the side effects was blocking all my containers from fetching updates in the docker tab. Every container's version is listed as "Unavailable" and there's an error in my log:

Jan 18 19:21:56 Unraidserver nginx: 2022/01/18 19:21:56 [error] 5536#5536: *1645538 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: 192.168.5.5, server: , request: "POST /plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerUpdate.php HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock", host: "192.168.5.5", referrer: "http://192.168.5.5/Docker/"

This doesn't really wtell me what I should be whitelisting though. I'd rather not whitelist the MAC address of my Unraid server, which effectively removes the firewall protection.

Actually I'm not even sure it's an issue with my firewall. I just turned everything off and I still got that error in the log. What gives?
