January 21, 20224 yr Hey all, I'm very new to Unraid and am designing my home NAS. I read about which controllers are preferable and I understand that (for the most part), but I wanted to get clarity if there any issues with using both a SAS/SATA card and the SATA slots on the motherboard. My set up includes MB with 6 sata slots and my case (node 804) supports 6 but I'm to add some additional storage via some 3d printed mounts I found. So, I would like to take advantage of the MB SATA slots and add a card to have additional storage. Does it have to be one of the the other or can it be both?
