Tons of Errors, Whats going on?

Featured Replies

So my server has been up for 3 months or so running flawlessly, but that last day or so it was being weird in that

it would give me page not found(or take a VERY long time) when trying to find tower or tower:8080. So I thought I might restart it and see if that

helped any. Upon restart it began a parity check that is giving me TONS of errors on drive4 50k+ with 37% done, its also going slow on the check

20mb/s instead of the normal 45-47mb/s. The server is still working fine but I don't understand whats going on with that drive.

The drive in question is a 1tb WD green EAV drive.

MB:C2SEE, just 6 drives 4 2tb EARs and 2 of the 1tb EAVS.

Sounds like the drive is shot.  I would replace it ASAP.

Looks more like a cabling problem to me.  You really can't detect a bad drive from looking at the syslog.

Pull a smart report for the drive and post it.

BTW, the syslog is a .RAR archive, not a .ZIP file.

Drive looks bad.

Interesting report though.

1327 pending and none marked bad.

Your Multi_Zone_Error_Rate (standardized value) got down to 1 (threshold of failure is 51).

I'd say RMA it.

That drive has died.  as already said, RMA it.
