April 25, 201115 yr Hello, I'm seeing a bunch of these errors in my syslog, but when i telnet to the box and do a ls -l on the /mnt/disk2/Movies dir I don't see the duplicate files. Are these messages something to worry about? There are hundreds of these in syslog. The only thing odd that I've noticed with my unriad is that reads are terribly slow. I will double click on a .pdf and it will take ~20 secs to load a 4MB pdf..... Apr 24 23:33:10 Tower shfs: duplicate object: /mnt/disk2/Movies/VideoNameHere.avi
April 25, 201115 yr Author Never mind the slowness, I rebooted all my router and switches and reads are speedy again. Just wondering if I should be concerned about the duplicate object warnings. Thanks Chris
April 25, 201115 yr I believe that error means that you have duplicate files on different disks. In your user shares, you'll only see one copy of each file (the first one that unRAID finds). In your disk shares, you should be able to see both copies (they will be in the same folder on different disks). You could try running a search on your disk shares for one of the movies and see if it shows up twice.
