[SOLVED] Moving Registered unRAID flash to different server

Featured Replies

I was wondering if it would be possible to move a registered unRAID flash drive to a different server build.  I know the keys are tied to the flash drive, but wasn't certain if perhaps it was also tied into particular hardware.  The reason I'm asking is because I'm testing unRAID using a non-certified motherboard and CPU, and would need to use the registered flash drive in a different build in the case that the system isn't stable.  Wanted to check in before purchase.

Thanks!

yes, should be no problem to move it to different hardware.  If you assign drives in the one system you will probably need to re-assign them to the same disk number space once you reboot the server.
