January 28, 20224 yr Hi all I took the plunge with Unraid last week primarily for Plex and VM have question over the GPU I have the one of the 12600k bundles from Scan.co.uk -Asus Strix and Corsair Hydro for cooling. I havent tried to enable igpu yet as I'm having enough teething problems getting to grips with unraid as it is,. Having said that I havent had any issues with software transcoding so far but its early days and the max I have transcode count I have seen todate is 3 with CPU raiming very reasonable I did think of getting a cheap P200 Quadro of ebay but I think for now rather than drop more money on something which may then become redundant fairly soon Ill just see how it goes. I am actually having more of a CPU bump on VMs - how much of this is due to the lack of IGPU I dont know, as I say I'm still in the early Noob stage presently. If anyone can think of a valid reason why a P200 would be useful after the i915 issue settled I may still get it. I'm not a gamer myself but my lad is hounding me to update his current modest PC so possibly a candidate for a VM and dedicate gaming card if the prices come down, I just don't know at the moment. Do you think full i915 support will make it into Unraid in first half of this year?
