trouble adding new drive

I added a drive last night and when I woke everything seemed to be working fine. When I got home the drive was missing. I reboot the machine and the drive came back but it was not recognized as being part of the array. I started a rebuild but part way through it failed. I am on 4.7 and a system log is attached.

    I think this drive may have quite on me. Since it wouldn't work in unraid I attached it to a windows machine and tried to run seatools on it. Even though seatools recognized the disk it would not run any tests on it. Is there a way to remove this drive from the configuration and calculate a new parity without losing the data on my remaining drives?

     

    For future reference how can I get smart info through unraid?
