January 31, 20224 yr In the last week my unRAID server has been kernel panicking nearly daily ... specs: - SuperMicro X10SRL-F - E5-2650 v3 - 64GB RAM - unRAID is on latest stable What logs/info can i get to help figure this out?
January 31, 20224 yr Author colossus-diagnostics-20220131-0944.zip I know there are some read errors on a parity drive, i have a replacement coming in for that.
January 31, 20224 yr Community Expert Are your RAID controllers using IT mode? Does it actually crash? Setup syslog server
January 31, 20224 yr Author The RAID controller doesn't have an 'IT mode' but it is in JBOD mode; there are no RAID's defined and the 'enable JBOD' option is selected - i forget the model RAID card but I did ensure JBOD was on; the BIOS is similar to a PERC H710 but as this is a SuperMicro system it's using a generic AVAGO/LSI card i believe. Yes, it actually crashes. Its hard to make out since I did it from my phone @ 6:20a this morning when i found it was offline but the screen cap is from the SuperMicro BIOS BMC - next time i will try and do it from the laptop
January 31, 20224 yr Community Expert You don't need 100MB log files. 1MB should be plenty. If you intend to log to the appdata share on your Unraid server you need to also specify your Unraid server where it says name or ip address.
February 1, 20224 yr Author ok happened again - screencap of error and diags ZIP = oddly enough around the same time my other one started doing it too and it was stuck; now these were both up earlier this AM i checked so sometime between 6:30a EST and now colossus-diagnostics-20220201-0938.zip
February 1, 20224 yr Author it was set to local syslog to the appdata folder but there are no logs there; i enabeld mirror to flash
February 1, 20224 yr Author I have been reading this could be MacVLAN which makes sense since I added a few dockers that are in custom mode - I upgraded both machines to 6.10RC2 and switched to IPVLAN ... we'll sett
