mover not working / newbuild (6.10.0-rc2)

Featured Replies

hi,

on a new build the mover does not work - and from my point of view it never worked.

in syslog i can find:

mover: cache not enabled

but the share, that needs to be moved, is set to "use cache pool = yes".

thanks

share.cfg doesn't yet exist, change a relevant setting, e.g,, enable disks shares, apply, change back and apply again then make sure that

shareCacheEnabled="yes"

exists on config/share.cfg, if it doesn't add it.

What share?

have you restarted the array since making any changes to the share settings?    A bug in 6.10.0 rc2 means changes in share settings do not take effect until the next time the array is started.

New build is not brandnew, it's 2 weeks old or something and was x-time restarted since creating of shares, etc.

Why is config/share.cfg missing?

OK after creating share.cfg on flash drive and reboot the mover is moving now.

this is by 100% a bug.
