CPU Utilisation stuck at 100%

Featured Replies

I have just switched from a Dell R710 to a Dell R720 server and after being up a while the system starts to use all of the CPU capacity (see pic, though "normally" both CPU/Threads are both pegged at 100%)

Any idea what could be causing my System to do this?

Sorted, I was hacked and someone was crypto mining on my machine 🤬

You can see it in the syslog, XMRIG and Miner jobs being launched continuously.

Luckily, there seems to be no lasting harm just some extra to pay on the electricity bill.

My fault for opening up my router for "5 minutes" whilst I test something.
