dgaschk
I'm trying to set the Min. free space for a user share without luck. The share contains 2 2TB disk. If I set the min free space to 2TB or 2000000000 the available space goes to zero as expected. If I set it to .5TB, 1TB, 1.5TB, or 1.9TB the setting has no effect. I have tried 500000000, 1000000000, and 1500000000 as well with no results. How do I make the min free space setting work? Link to comment

dgaschk
I entered the value, 1048576000, and it has no effect on the free space. Link to comment
Joe L.
I entered the value, 1048576000, and it has no effect on the free space. It will not change the free space, it simply says that at least that much free space must exist on the disk for it to be used for a new file when one is crated. Your number (1048576000) is basically saying at least 1TB must be free (on the specific disk being written) for a new file to be created on a disk for that share. Link to comment
